New York: John Wiley & Sons, 1884. Ruskin (1819-1900) was the premier art critic of the Victorian era. This is Volume One only of what was issued as a three-volume set, one of his most famous works. Green decorative cloth binding; lettering and decorations stamped in gilt. Clean text; 434 pages, with Appendices. There is a newspaper clipping laid-in to page 5 of the Preface, which has offset. Period previous-owned signature on the second free endpaper. A very nice little volume, mildly bumped and with minimal rubbing Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Later Printing. Decorative Cloth. Very Good Plus/No Jacket.
