Condition Good: Cover damaged at corners and edges, part of the spine missing but no impact to the binding, binding good and everything attached. Name inside, some minor traces of use, a few pages with dirty fingerprints or spots but in general clean without big issues.
A story similar to Scrooge: A hard-hearted millionaire is visited on Christmas Eve by the goblin-spirit of an ex-tightwad (now residing in hell), who takes him on a series of frightful dream-flights that convince him he must change his miserly ways. The book was later reprinted as 'The strange visitation' without the illustrations. This is the original illustrated edition as published in the Christmas number of The Strand Magazine in 1904 and almost impossible to find
