Blanche also attracts the attention of Stanley's friend Mitch, who is drawn to her fragile and refined persona. As the play progresses, Blanche's secrets are exposed and her mental state deteriorates, leading to a tragic and violent climax

Sinopsis

A Streetcar Named Desire is a play written by Tennessee Williams that opened on Broadway on December 3, 1947.The story dramatises the life of Blanche DuBois, a Southern belle, after going through a series of personal losses, leaves her aristocratic background seeking refuge with her sister and brother-in-law in a New Orleans apartment building. Considered to be Williams’ most popular work, it is one of the best and most critically successful plays of the 20th century. The play has inspired many adaptations in other forms, notably producing an acclaimed film that was released in 1951.
