(Hardcover issue perhaps simultaneously with the paperback edition as a monograph in the International Encyclopedia of Unified Science series; priority is uncertain.) xv, [1], 172 pp. Bound in publisher's blue cloth, spine lettered in metallic blue.
American intellectual and critic Lionel Trilling's copy from his estate with his signature on the front free endpaper. Like Kuhn Trilling was a historian of ideas (though more oriented towards literature) and a defender of "the moral obligation to be intelligent," as one of his better-known essays was titled.
Near Fine, slight smudge to Trilling's signature, light wear, text free of markings. In Good+ dust jacket with chip to bottom front corner of front panel, toning and light wear.
The scarce cloth issue of Kuhn's acclaimed history of science; even less common than the wrappered issue.

The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, by Thomas Kuhn, is an analysis of the history of science. Its publication was a landmark event in the sociology of knowledge, and popularized the terms paradigm and paradigm shift.
