This book includes a chapter on the evolution theory of Darwin. Karl von Baer (1792-1876) was an important embryologist. Rubbing to boards and spine; some foxing; old owner's signature on front pastedown and another one on the first title verso; old library stamp - peculiarly pre-dating the year of publication - on second title, pencilled annotation on last blank recto, otherwise good.
