1857. BOWDITCH, N.I. SUFFOLK SURNAMES. Boston: Printed by John Wilson and Son, 1857. First edition, inscribed by the author to Josiah L. Hale of Newburyport on the ffep. and dated March 12, 1857. 108 pp. Tall, slim 8vo., brown cloth, blind-stamped decoration to all sides, gilt-stamped title to spine. With only a couple of tiny spots on the fore-edge, some light sunning to spine, and a touch of wear to heel and crown, this is a clean and fresh copy in near fine condition.
