Sobre este artículo

London: Herbert Jenkins, 1938. First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good. 7.5" by 5.5". None. A smart copy of the first Colonial issue of this humorous novel from P. G. Wodehouse, in the original dust wrapper. The first Colonial Edition, first impression of this P. G. Wodehouse novel, in the publisher's original price unclipped Colonial issue dust wrapper. Former big-game hunter Sir Buckstone Abbott, finding himself hard up, takes in paying guests at his home, while hoping to sell the place to a wealthy Princess. Many schemes, plots and romantic entanglements ensue. With eight pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear.A wonderful first edition from the prolific twentieth century humourist. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Shelf wear to back strip head and tail, with minor marks to boards. Significant chipping and edgewear to dust wrapper perimeters, and with losses to back strip head and tail. Numerous small tape repairs to dust wrapper reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Very Good Indeed
