A delightful collection of animal tales set on a beautiful farm nestled in the hills near the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Quarter green cloth over yellow boards with laughing ducks illustration on front cover and green titles on spine. Cover is stained and worm, corners and spine ends bumped, gift inscriptions on front free end paper, author signature and inscription "To Mary, Every best wish of 'Granny'" with illustrator signature below, front hinge weak and showing webbing at half title, stains and darkening of end papers, binding shaken, interior pages have a few smudges but otherwise very lightly tanned. Illustrated dust jacket with white titles is in poor condition, titles have been colored pink, only front cover and front fold present, chipping along edges, closed tears, pink stains from marker on front inner fold, some worming at edges, $2.50 price not clipped.
