London: Corgi, 1978. Paperback. Good/No Jacket. 158 12mo. Translated from the Hebrew by Nina De-Nur; its original, Hebrew title is Salamandra. A novel about the Holocaust written by one who survived Auschwitz. The name Ka-Tzetnik is formed from the German acronym for Konzentrationslager, and was taken as the pen name of Yehiel Dinur (1909-2001). The cover of this paperback edition of Sunrise Over Hell misleadingly described it as a sequel to House of Dolls; in fact, Salamandra was KZ's first book, published in 1946, with Beit Habutot ( House of Dolls) following in 1955. Condition notes: Covers worn, rear cover creased, binding firm, internally clean and unmarked apart from an old price to the first page.
