Binding is tight, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean with clean decorated endpapers. Previous owner name in light pencil (easily erasable) at top edge of front free endpaper. Decorated title page. 268 pages. Dust jacket is clean, hint of very slight dust soiling, not price clipped (2.50 on front inside flap), no chips or tears, very slight wear to paper at one spine corner. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Novel with an unconventional, rebellious and adventurous heroine, forced to travel through England in man's attire in order to escape the religious persecutions of Queen Elizabeth and the unhappiness of an uncongenial home..
