A great account of the capture of brown's Ferry near Chattanooga relieving the supply shortages. There are brief accounts of an execution, about the common soldier, the negro soldier and a soldier's funeral.
Hart covers many facets of the military surgeon ranging from his appliances, who he is, the common soldier, field operations, etc. A scarce piece.
