A touch of fading to spine panel.. 8vo. 6 x 8.75 in. ix, 238 pp. Herbert Thurston, S.J. reviews the lives of Margery Kempe of Lynn (name underlined in Table of Contents by Dr. Kempe), Anne Catherine Emmerich, Domenica dal Paradiso, et al. Bound in original full dark blue cloth, titled in gilt on spine, in printed dust jacket. This copy belonged to Dr. Ludwig Kempe, German-American neurosurgeon, ornithologist, and illustrator, retired colonel in the U.S. Army, asst. chief of neurosurgery at Walter Reed, etc. etc.
