Santa Anna, the Mexican commander, released Susanna to deliver the message to General Sam Houston that the Alamo had fallen. She established a residence in Houston. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines.
