Blue coloured boards with silver illustration, of a young man lying on his back playing a violin, to the lower right-hand corner of the front panel. Silver writing on the spine. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing a young man lying on his back playing the violin, with a bird on his knee and in the tree to his right there are 4 people, with pink background. Black writing on the front panel and spine. Autobiography of the author growing up as a young man in the first Republic of Czechoslovakiain the early 20th century. The dust jacket is missing the top quarter and the bottom 3rd, and has a rather large tears. The book itself is in very good order, aged toning of the page edges, and some slight tanning of the spine section where the dustjacket is missing. This is the first UK edition.
