Sobre este artículo
New York: St. Martin's Press, 1990. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. Lutz is the award-winning author of four different mystery series and more than four dozen novels but it is this stand-alone mystery-thriller that may well be his best remembered work. It features Allison Jones, who has just thrown out her unfaithful male live-in and placed a newspaper ad for a "single, white female" roommate. The ad is answered by mousy little Hedra Carlson who seems to be the answer to Allison's problems. Except Hedra's almost abject admiration can be irritating. And then the strange, unsettling incidents start, leading to a bloody, nightmarish conclusion. First edition, first printing, (as stated, with complete numberline). About 5 3/4 x 8 1/4 inches, in green paper-covered boards with gold lettering on spine. Dustjacket's front panel shows author and title in white and yellow lettering against a NYC city-scape background. Back panel contains five advance praise blurbs for the book. Spine shows a vertical crease, o/w boards and text are complete, clean and unmarked, without noticeable flaws or damage. Not ex-library, not remaindered. Dustjacket shows a touch of wear at corners and spine ends, very minimal surface and edge wear. No tears, creasing or chipping. Not price-clipped. A collectable copy of the novel that became the basis for the movie, "Single,White Female" starring Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
