A very good first edition (so stated on the copyright page) in a nearly fine first state (laminated) dust jacket. A nice example of this jacket featuring a fine four-color wraparound illustration reproducing a painting by J. Allen St. John. The original price of $2 is still present on the front flap of the jacket. For some reason most jackets for this title are price-clipped. Superior copies of this book are uncommon.
Sinopsis
Swords of Mars is an Edgar Rice Burroughs science fiction novel, the eighth of his famous Barsoom series. It was first published in the magazine Blue Book Magazine as a six-part serial in the issues for November, 1934-April, 1935. The first book edition was published by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. in February, 1936.
