The printed material presents the syllabus for an introductory course on medicine by James Jackson, who notes in his introduction will "be unintelligible to any, except those actually attending the lectures to which it refers. Page (1798-1857), himself a physician, was the son of Dr. Benjamin Page of Hallowell, Maine, a pioneer in the use of the smallpox vaccine in America.PROVENANCE: Frederick B.
