Sobre este artículo
"Not only is the use of religious symbols as old as the Christian church but symbols were well known in Old Testament times. Them Temple helped to create them, and the synagogues have kept many of the symbols alive. It is not correct to say that there has been a rediscovery of symbolism. It is better to say that there is a renewed interest in the subject. This little book gives the main symbols with drawings of each (by Bodo José Weber and Ernest A. Pickup). The symbols are primarily useful as aids to worship though sometimes they have been used as objects of worship quite contrary to Protestant tradition. They can be most effectively used to remind the worshiper of the historical backgrounds of our Christian faith and the doctrines in which we believe. The book's index has been carefully prepared. It may be used with profit to locate the various symbols and to find their relationships to one another, especially since there are many instances of more than one symbol for the same idea." Found ad copy. Very good condition. Some light sun fading around spine. No dust jacket.
