Volumes I and 2 bound in burgundy cloth, no dust jackets. 1877 printing of 1871 edition by Scribner Armstrong & Co. Covers are lightly scuffed and show expected wear at spine ends and corners and spines are faded and spine cloth is thinned with one small rubbed spot. Names of previous owners and bookplate on end papers. Within, the pages a mildly age-toned but still supple and text is very sharp. We grade it as Good.
