Hudson-Kimberley, 1899. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Hardcover. 1899. 207 pages, with four pages of advertisements at the rear. Original dark brown cloth boards with gilt lettering to front. Spine has been repaired/reinforced with black cloth tape, and a tan label with "Machine Guns (Tactical) Parker" nearly handwritten has been placed on the spine. Green and white floral design endpapers; small label with previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Two maps present: one full page, and one foldout. Shows disposition of forces during the Battle of Santiago in 1898, during the Spanish-American War. Author held the tank of 1st Lieutenant 13th Infantry, Commander of Machine Guns in the Santiago Campaign.
