The American edition has been revised by Daniel P. Kidder - ". this picture of the Tahtar tribes is brought to the fire-side of American readers . to compare the condition of the Eastern nomades with that of the aboriginal Indian tribes of our own country." With an interesting inscription: "Presented to John McDonald for his diligence while attending the Presbyterian School in Collingwood. Rev. Robt Rodgers Jan. 1866
