New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1940. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Good/Good. Stated first edition of this second novel from the Washington state native author, Nancy Wilson Ross. From the library of Madeleine L'Engle, and bearing her married ownership signature (Hugh and Madeleine Franklin) on the front pastedown. Good condition with spine cocked and tape residue to boards where jacket was attached. There are a couple dates stamped on the rear endpaper, possibly an ex library copy. Jacket good with similar tape residue, some soiling, chipping at spine ends, and a few edge tears.
