While the light brown boards – front and rear – have stains and spotting these have not impacted the interior pages or the overall structural strength of the book. The debossed gold gilt text to the cover and spine is bright and easily readable. Spine, boards, and corners have no wear although the corners are slightly bumped. Spine is straight with no cracking to the endpapers with hinges still firmly attached. Overall text block is solid. Age tanning throughout including front and rear endpapers. All interior pages are clean with no tears, cracks, and with no previous owner marks. Wonderfully illustrated with black & white photographs on glossy paper.
Samuel Grander Camp (1877 – 1952) of Canaan, Connecticut was a noted writer of outdoor life and was considered an authority on fly-fishing.
