Sobre este artículo

Hammersmith: Kelmscott Press, 1894. Limited edition. Hardcover. Near fine. 16mo. 144pp. Printed in Chaucer type. Translated by Morris. Printed on Perch paper. Printed in black and red. In a contempporary full vellum binding, gilt spine title. Cover gilt rubbed, boards yawning, as is typical with vellum, else a fine copy. One of 350 copies, from a total edition of 352.

A medieval French romance that tells the fantastical story of Coustans, a commoner who marries the daughter of a pagan emperor. Through a series of events, Coustans becomes emperor himself and converts the land to Christianity. The story also mentions the founding of Constantinople. While the specific location of "Over Sea" is not mentioned, it likely refers to a faraway and fantastical land in the East.
