Published by Frederick Warne & Co., 1909 (Circa.). Hardback. Very Good. Illustrated by Potter, Beatrix. Very good condition with no wrapper. Small format. Brown boards, white title to spine and front cover. Pictorial onlay to front cover. 85 pages. Tape 'repair' to base of spine. Insert with book says that this item has at one time been rebacked with original endpapers retained. There are no noticeable signs of this - so if it has been full rebacked in the past it has been professionally and very well done indeed! Grubby marks to pictorial onlay. Corners are a little bumped, with wear. Some browning and marks to outer page edges.
Sinopsis
The Tale of Peter Rabbit is a children's book written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter. The story follows Peter Rabbit, a mischievous and disobedient young rabbit, as he ventures into the garden of farmer Mr. McGregor. The tale was written for five-year-old Noel Moore, son of Potter's former governess, in 1893. It was revised and privately printed by Potter in 1901 after several publishers' rejections but was printed in a trade edition by Frederick Warne & Co. in 1902.
