111 Cheapside: Thomas Tegg , 1811. The title continues "To which is added, An Account of a Battle between the Ancient and Modern Books in St. James's Library. With the Author's Apology, and Explanatory Notes, by W. Wotton and others" Very good condition antiquarian book. Bound in red morocco spine and corners with decorative marbled boards. Gold gilt to the top of the pages. The book is tightly bound and square. The covers are clean and the corners are fairly sharp. This edition contains a hand colored frontis piece and 6 other hand colored illustrations. The pages are bright with nearly no foxing. This is a very well preserved copy of Swift's first major published work and what is generally accepted as his most famous satire.5 raised bands on the spine with bright gold gilt lettering. 322 pages. This is a very collectible book. . Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
