Sobre este artículo
1931. FAIRLIE, Gerard. THE MAN WITH TALENT. London: Hodder and Stoughton, [no date but 1931]. Small 12mo., embossed red cloth over boards with black titles on the spine, in the original dust jacket. Apparently the first edition- issued through the publisher's Yellow Jacket series. Begun in the 1920s, Yellow Jackets were precursors of the paperback. Rare- I have been unable to locate any other copy. Fairlie [1899-1983] was a Scottish author and scriptwriter on whom Sapper (H.C. McNeile) partially based his well-known Bulldog Drummond character. After Sapper's death, Fairlie continued the series. Very Good (three very tiny spots to front cover; contents clean & tight even though paper quality is not the best, bit of browning endpapers, ink name and address stamp on front endpaper); some wear (small chips & short tears, bit of soil & tiny rubbed spot front cover) d/j. $175.00.
