Wells Gardner, Darton, London., 1903. First edition of this selection. Octavo. pp xxiv, 418. 51 black-and-white drawings, many of them full-page, by Hugh Thomson. Original burgundy gilt pictorial cloth. Top edge gilt.Corners slightly bruised. Prelims and edges a little spotted. Very good indeed in the very scarce dustwrapper, based on Thomson's design and printed in gilt on purple paper, nicked, rubbed and creased at edges.
