Spine ends and corners slightly rubbed, spine slightly soiled and sunned, else an unusually fine copy. Signed by the artist, Arthur Rackham.
First Rackham-illustrated edition, limited issue being one of 460 signed and numbered copies. Poe's haunting tales of terror and murder are brought to wondrous life in Arthur Rackham's powerfully chilling watercolor illustrations and pen-and-ink drawings. Featuring 25 of Poe's most beloved stories including The Fall of the House of Usher, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Pit and the Pendulum, and The Cask of Amontillado. One of Rackham's best!
