Eighteen volumes, small octavo, 16.5 cm, in full period plum calf gilt, raised bands, two black morocco labels per volume, decorated compartments, sides with double fillets and corner roundels, marbled endpapers and page edges. Each volume with an extra engraved title-page and frontispiece. Scuff marks to the rear board of vol. I; slight rubbing to joints; two spine labels have small chips with small lettering loss; some labels have rubbing to gilt fillets; two volumes have rubbing at upper corner; one label has a vertical crack; all rubbing neatly touched up and leather dressing applied. Offsetting and occasional foxing to the engraved titles and frontispieces, else the contents are quite clean and sharp, last volume has a one inch split and small corner chip to top of front joint neatly repaired, inner hinge mildly cracked, other joints and hinges not cracked.
