Small Octavo. 368pp., edited with an introduction by Alfred Ainger, bound in ¾ green morocco over marbled paper covered boards, raised bands, marbled endpapers, spine lettering and top edge gilt. Charles lamb, his wife and sister adored Shakespeare and in 1807 published an illustrated edition of Tales from Shakespeare for children. This volume, is also meant for the young reader as a an introduction to the study of Shakespeare and includes all the Shakespeare favorites, including Romeo and Juliet. A very nice copy.
