VG- (overall wear and staining to leather boards, corners bumped, fraying to edges, pages of text and illustrations are very clean and clear). Two volumes in tan full leather boards with gilt stamped design on front cover, gilt tooling, five raised bands on spine with gilt lettering, all edge gilt, bw frontispiece with tissue guard for both volumes. Volume one xvii, 355 pp, illustrated throughout in bw. Volume two xiv, 308 pp, illustrated in bw throughout. This edition is limited to 250 copies. This copys is not numbered but is signed by Frederick James Furnivall, editor, and Harold Copping, illustrator. Volume 1 has list of comedies on page 347: The Comedy of Errors; A Midsummer Night's Dream; The Two Gentlemen of Verona; The Merchant of Venice; The Taming of the Shrew, Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It, Twelfth Night; or, What You Will; All's Well that Ends Well; Measure for Measure; The Tempest; The Winter's Tale. Volume 2 List of Tragedies on page 309 include: Romeo and Juliet; Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, Othello, Macbeth, King Lear, Timon of Athens, Pericles, Prince of Tyre, and Cymbeline. Includes six additional tales by Furnivall: Love's labour's lost, Merry wives, Julius Cæsar, Troilus and Cressida, Antony and Cleopatra, and Coriolanus. Includes introductions and additions by F. J. Furnivall. Illustrated by Harold Copping.
