Sobre este artículo

London: G. G. Harrap & Co.,, [1911-12-13]. A complete set of Pogàny's Wagner First trade editions, first impressions. "His illustrations to Wagner... may be preferred to Rackham's Wagner illustrations as they have a strong Germanic fin de siècle feel about them. A mixture of colour plates, lithographs and line drawings on heavy grey paper, they were a popular and unusual feature of the Christmas market of those years" (Felmingham, p. 60). Three volumes, quarto. Original green morocco-backed brown cloth, spine and front lettered and illustrated in gilt, pictorial endpapers, top edges gilt. 41 tipped-in colour plates, numerous full-page illustrations, elaborate decorative borders and smaller illustrations throughout by Pogàny. Printed on pale pale grey paper. Extremities a little bumped, spines slightly sunned, one plate with minor crease: a very good set. Michael Felmingham, The Illustrated Gift Book 1880-1930, 1988.
