Allen St. John on front panel) with light wear along top and bottom edges with shallow loss at corner tips and at top and bottom edges of rear spine fold, two tiny chips from front panel, one at lower edges, the other at upper edge, several tiny closed tears at edges, four with very small internal tape mends, and some general dust soiling to spine and rear panels. The scarce jacket is attractive overall. (25731). Octavo, pp. [1-8] 1-408, nine inserted plates with illustrations by J. Allen St. John, one map, original red cloth, front and spine panels stamped in black. The eighth Tarzan book, a sequel to TARZAN THE UNTAMMED (1920). Seeking Jane, Tarzan enters the land of Pal-ul-don, inhabited by black and white races, both with tails, and prehistoric beasts. A total of 45,000 copies of the McClurg edition were printed. Sinopsis
Tarzan the Terrible is a novel written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the eighth in his series of books about the title character Tarzan. It was first published as a serial in the pulp magazine Argosy All-Story Weekly in the issues for February 12, 19, and 26 and March 5, 12, 19, and 26, 1921; the first book edition was published in June, 1921 by A. C. McClurg.
