Sobre este artículo

MP3 Audio CD. If you want to read an exciting tale of swashbuckling adventure that can blend excitement with love, action and vengeance, the novels written by Rafael Sabatini are among the first ones you should consider trying. The Tavern Knight is definitely among them, and unlike his later works, it introduces a more unique, early side of Sabatini's storytelling talents that features the raw power and beauty of the tale itself, leading the reader to be completely absorbed by it, even though under the pen of any other author, these same ideas may not have shined as intensely.

The Tavern Knight is a story about vengeance, romance and redemption, introducing a brave knight with a rough reputation who goes by the name of Crispin Galliard. The story is set in England during the time of Oliver Cromwell. After Galliard managed to save Charles II from Cromwell's forces, he sets out on his long awaited journey towards vengeance, seeking to make those who stole his life and happiness account for their wrongdoings.

Sabatini's fast-paced, yet descriptive and well-organized style makes the book far more enjoyable and elevated than one would expect from any adventure stories from his era. Unlike most authors, Sabatini wrote with a passion that brought his characters to life, while his ability to create believable characters with very real flaws have led to believable outcomes.

Probably the only downside of The Tavern Knight is that, having been written at the beginning of Sabatini's career as a writer, it did not reflect his talents as well as some of his subsequent works, including Captain Blood, Scaramouche, and The Sea Hawk ? his all-time bestseller.

Nevertheless, anyone who can relate to the exciting and imaginative stories created by Rafael Sabatini will be able to enjoy the amazing tale of The Tavern Night. The book will thrill and delight you every step of the way, making for a truly satisfying reading experience.
