The first five chapters are on various aspects of the life of the American entomologist, ornithologist and evolution theorist Darlington; this is followed by 16 scholarly papers (mainly taxonomical and zoogeographical) on various groups of Coleoptera and Hymenoptera. This is the original edition, published as volume 33 of the Series Entomologica, chief editor K. A. Spencer. Much less common than the Springer edition, which is uncommon itself. Library stamp on half title and title page, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
