Juan de Ruiz de Alarcón (c1580-1639) was a Mexican-born Spanish dramatic poet who, having had his hopes for a career in law curtailed, turned to writing for the stage, where he enjoyed great success, and is now highly regarded. In particular, the play "La Verdad Sospechosa" ("The Suspicious Truth"), about a compulsive liar, is still being performed. *** Condition: About Very Good, but for some wear to the corners of the covers and light rubbing to the spines..
