Collection of 13 stories "planned especially for growing boys & girls.providing stimulating reading about adventure on the high seas written in the modern manner." Some of the stories were orig. published in Boys Life by the Boy Scouts of America. This is the FIRST EDITION in book form from 1948, in 252 pages, with black & white illustrations throughout by Edgard Cerlin. Like others in this Teen-age Library series, this hardcover book has orange cloth-covered boards with brown decoration & lettering to front & spine. Condition is VG- (minus): very clean, binding straight & strong, pages modestly but evenly tanned--heavier tanning to endpapers. Only flaws are rubbing & bumping along bottom edges, shelfwear. The clipped DJ is also VG-: bright & colorful, with light soil & edgewear, most notably a few small chips. Looks nice in new mylar cover!
