Ricketts. The illustrations are unsigned. Early printing of this title, listing only three "Teen-Age" titles on the rear panel of the dust wrapper and a single title, "Jerry Dowd, Fraternity Man", also published in 1947, on the rear flap. The first "Teen-Age" title, "Companion", was published in 1946; this was followed by three more in the 1947, only two of which are listed on this book. See photos for the titles listed on the rear panel; which do not include "Teen-Age Stories of the West". The cloth shows only a touch of edgewear, with slight creasing near the top of the front cover (see photos). Internally, the book is clean, tight and unmarked, with solid hinges and a square binding.
