'The Testament of Beauty' is a long philosophical poem which earned the author great success and popularity before his death.Robert Bridges (1844-1930) was Poet Laureate from 1913 until his death; as well as being a prolific poet, he wrote a number of hymns and prosaic works.The second edition of this work, with the author's final corrections.Complete with an unclipped dust wrapper. In the publisher's quarter vellum binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally generally smart; vellum is a little discoloured and worn to the head. Dust wrapper has some slight loss to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
