Sobre este artículo
Philadelphia: Lea & Febiger, 1924. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Very Good, and not far from Near Fine. See scans and description. Philadelphia: Lea & Febiger, 1924. Text-Book of Biology for Students in General, Medical and Technical Courses, by William Martin Smallwood, Ph.D. of Syracuse University. Octavo, finely-textured brown cloth boards, gilt spine imprinting, publisher's monogram in blind-stamp on front cover, 393 pp. Replete with graphics throughout, largely detailed drawings and black-and-white photographs, but there are 3 color plates, uncomplicated but very well-executed (see sample scan), making this an early example of a color plate - bearing biology text. Very Good, and approaching Near Fine; spine ends and corners touched (see scans), early owner's signature at the front free endpaper as well as an early price at the front pastedown, and...that's it. Sturdy, bright, tight, gleaming, inside and out. See all scans. The beloved and now very rare biology text by W.S. Smallwood, readily available as a very recent print-on-demand offering, but, as this 1924 original Real McCoy, a very difficult find. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box, of course - not a bag.
