MacMillan Company, New York., 1939. Tenth Edition.. Leather Hardcover.. VG/--. 8 1/2 x 6 x 1 1/4.. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. VERY GOOD. Sewn binding. Boards and spine are blue leather? or cloth, gilt lettering. Back cover has two slightly bent corners and some edge wear. Spine has minor edge wear on all four sides, but no creases or rips and is bright and clear. Front cover has bent corners, top corner is a bit chewed 3/8 x 5/8 inch and board is gone in this small area and corner is still in place but a bit ragged. Page edges are a bit dusty and lightly marked over the years. Book covers and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, flat. A few pages have one or two pencilled notes, and there are some pages with small dog ears, some with larger dog ears. First couple of pages in front have very tip of top corner roughened (I guess when cover corner was chewed). Owner’s name in ink on ffep. Black/white photos, illustrations, tables. Some colour illustrations. 24 Chapters. Contents. Bibliography. Glossary. Index.

My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
