An interesting and useful collection of sample short notes and letters to be used in correspondence. The first section of the book is titled "The Ladies' Hand-Book of Letter-Writing; Containing Original Letters relative to Business, Duty, Friendship, Love, and Marriage, Written in a Modern Style and Adapted to All Subjects of General Correspondence." The first sample letter is for "A Young Lady at Home, To an Old Schoolfellow at School." The second section of the book is titled "The Gentlemen's Hand-Book of Letter-Writing Containing Original Letters..." Interesting and still useful.
