Magoun's reputation as a shipbuilder was second to none, and he was known as the Father of Shipbuilding on the Mystic River. The Thatcher Magouin clipper ship was lunched 1856, the same year as its namesakeâs death. Detailed descriptions of the shipâs architecture, a sampling of log entries, and short family history of the Magounâs and the ships first captain, William Peterson. Signed & Inscribed by the author to his daughter. Massachusetts: Riverside Press, 1934. Minor soiling to the covers, endpapers,and pages. About very good.
