Sobre este artículo
Paris: Calmann Levy, 1890. Leather. Very Good. 7" by 5". None. Four leather bound volumes of plays by Alexandre Dumas the younger. Four leather bound volumes containing the plays of Alexandre Dumas fils. Published in French. The son of Alexandre Dumas père, author of classic works such as the Three Musketeers, Dumas fils started his career as a dramatist after having to adapt his novel La Dame aux Camélias for stage to earn some money. Although perhaps not as renowned as his father, Dumas fils still dominated the French stage for the majority of the second half of the nineteenth century. The present collection contains the aforementioned play, along with eight others, including Diane de Lys, L'Ami des femmes, and Le Fils naturel. In a quarter calf binding over patterned boards. Externally, generally smart. Lightly rubbed to the boards, a little more so to the fore edge of volume four. A little rubbed to the spines, particularly to the head, and volume four is also rather rubbed to the front joint hear the head. Bumped to the extremities. The front hinge is just beginning to start to volumes one and two. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages. Very Good
