Condition of 16 volume set- two large stains top and bottom of title leaf and leaves from attempted ink removal of [probable writing in Thomas Aquinas volumes], "PRIVATAE BIBLIOTHECAS MAGISTRI CARMELITAS LECTORIS IN ROMANO SAVIENTIAE ARCHIGYMNADIO [sp? ], P M BARTHOLOMAGUS DE VALLE" from the back of the title page. Oval ink mark on title pages. Gotti was a Cardinal and Catholic theologian who wrote commentaries on Thomas Aquinas as well as polemics against Lutherans and Calvinism.
