Sobre este artículo
John C. Winston, 1931-01-01. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good++/Good. Vintage Hardcover with scarce DJ and related ephemera, First Edition 1931 John C. Winston 320 pages. Very Good++, in a Good DJ. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to black cloth boards with bright gilt titles and accents - corners sharp. B & W photographic endpapers. Moderate shelf/edge wear and edge chipping to notoriously fragile golden foil DJ - now in mylar. Previous owner Christmas gift inscription on page following the FFEP. No other notes or writing - all pages are clean and unmarked. 27 chapters, appendix and index. The fragile foil DJ suffered many indignities but did its job protecting the book. It is remarkably well preserved, the gilt titles look new. Over 100 illustrations. Well done biography of Thomas Edison. Francis Trevelyan Miller (1877â1959) was an American writer and filmmaker. He is known for his books about exploration, travel and photography. Laid inside is a small 12 page pamphlet with a 4 page addenda titled Menlo Park, published by the Edison Institute of Dearborn, Mich and dated 1933. The inside front cover is an overhead diagram of the first and second floor of Edison's workshop. It is in Good+ condition with moderate dust soiling to the covers. Very handsome depression era First Edition in the scarce but flawed DJ with related ephemera.LOC SSS-16
