Toronto: Collins. Good in Good dust jacket. 1942. Sixth Printing. Hardcover. l230 p. 21 cm. Sound and square binding in cloth-covered boards. Some mottling to the boards and text block edges and endpapers have some foxing. Inside pages are clean and unmarked, except a few pages that have staining where a leaf had been lain in. The dust jacket has edge wear, some soil and scratches and light foxing. It is not price clipped. A novel set in the 19th century in the Glengarry area of eastern Ontario, where the author was raised. The cover art and chapter head wood engravings are the work of Group of Seven Canadian artist Franklin Carmichael. .
