Laid in is a folded pamphlet called "The Tower of Time: John Gurche's painting, the model for a 27-foot mural in Dinosaur Hall at the National Museum of Natural History, Washington, D.C., shows the 700-million-year span of life on Earth from single Cells to modern Man." Pamphlet has offsetting from newspaper clippings laid in. Written a century after the death of Darwin in 1882, the author pieces together the history of evolution.
