Sobre este artículo
New York: The Macmillan Co, 1927. First edition of Dobias' charming retelling of the classic Norwegian fairy tale. Small octavo, original illustrated boards, patterned endpapers. Fine in a fine dust jacket. Scarce. Austrian-born American illustrator Frank Dobias illustrated several successful children's books between the early 1920s and late 1940s. His illustrations for the Japanese version of Little Black Sambo made the book a bestseller in Japan, selling well over a million copies between 1953-1988.
